Oluwafisayo Ajayi is a research assistant at the Department of Economics, University of Ibadan. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. She is the first external contributor to the women in economics blog where she wrote on the relationship between carbon dioxide and economic growth. She graduated in the top 1% of her department and has more than a year of research experience. She is a dedicated volunteer for three non-profit foundations, where she contributes her fair share to humanity. Oluwafisayo is a member of over six different professional organizations, including the Sadie Collective, the Black Economist Network, the Women in Economics Initiative, and the Global Women in Energy Transition, to name a few. She enjoys learning and is considering a Ph.D. in Resource Economics because of her passion to ensure that economic resources are equitably allocated to achieve sustainable economic growth that is not devoid of social inclusion. She enjoys sewing in her spare time.
