Nicolas Dominguez is a graduate student at New York University, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Economics. He recently gained professional experience as a Graduate Summer Intern in the Research Department at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Prior to attending graduate school, Nicolas worked as a public servant in the Labor and Industry sector in Peru and as a Research Assistant for the Group for Analysis of Development (GRADE), a Peruvian think tank. During this period, Nicolas worked on several projects in the fields of gender, health, and labor economics. His current research interests include addressing inequalities in educational results and their link to the formation of gender and racial identity, social norms, and educational policy. Nicolas has received two research grants sponsored by the CIES and is also a recipient of the “Generación Bicentenario” scholarship from the Peruvian government to fund his master’s degree. Nicolas earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics at Universidad de Piura in Peru.
