Dr. Mark McGovern is an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Prior to joining Rutgers, Dr McGovern was an Assistant Professor at Queen's University Belfast, and a Global Demography of Aging Program fellow at Harvard University. As a health economist, his main research interest is on evaluating the long run impact of programmes aimed at improving early life conditions and inequality at birth. His other research interests include quasi-experimental analysis and quantitative methods for missing data, particularly their application to policy-relevant questions, and the social effects of physical and mental health conditions.
