Dr. Jonathan Meer is the Mary Julia and George R. Jordan Professor of public policy at the Department of Economics at Texas A&M University, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. In 2021, he was named to the Eppright Professorship for Undergraduate Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M, and he is the Director of Undergraduate Programs and Director of Engagement & Outreach for the Department of Economics. He earned his B.A. in economics from Princeton University in 2002 and his Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in 2009. He is author of over thirty research papers on charitable giving, the economics of education, and the minimum wage.
